The 2015 Nutts Cup will be held Saturday, August 29th

8am-4pm Competition & Vendor / Beer Garden

4:01pm-10pm BBQ Party

7pm Awards and Prizes Presented

For those of you who do not know “Nutts” is the workout that was made for our fallen brother Lieutenant Andrew Nuttal.  Every year we celebrate his life by throwing a big tournament and party.  It is a very special day and everyone is welcome.

Rob and Stacey Wallace came to us about 3 years ago.  Since then they have been nothing but exemplary clients and have become good friends.  They are fun, loving, eclectic, passionate and playful folk. We are lucky to have them in our community.

Last summer I recorded them doing “Nutts” together.  It was a hot summer day and we all had a blast.  I left the memory card in the camera afterwards, thinking it would just be there when I went to get it later, and it was gone… Vanished.  I was heart broken.  I asked and looked around everywhere but nada.

Imagine my surprise when Dash came to me a few weeks ago and said she had found all this Rob and Stacey footage doing Nutts on a memory card.  JACKPOT!!

So without further delay… Mr and Mrs Wallace.

Thursday’s Workout:

Warm Up:  Coach’s Choice

(:10) Skill/Tech: Groove workout movements and get organized

(:30) Workout: Lifting Ladder

Start with a bar at 50% of your 1rm snatch (any snatch)

– Add 10lbs every min until you can no longer snatch (any snatch)

then begin to clean

– Add 10lbs every min until you can no longer clean (any clean)

then begin to deadlift

– Add 10lbs every min until you can no longer deadlift

-Use 5 lb increments if it suits you better for any of the lifts

-Buddy up on bars and weights

-Recommendations for scaling

1) 6-8 minutes of snatch

2) 6-8 minutes of snatch

3) 10 minutes of deadlift

-Capped at 30 min

Keep that core tight!!
