Olympic weightlifters are some of the most explosive, fast, powerful athletes in the world. Their sport also requires large amounts of coordination and accuracy, as well as body awareness, mobility and stability.
We practice Olympic weightlifting to help build many of the general physical skills—including speed, strength, power, coordination, accuracy and balance. Olympic weightlifting is also a great way to teach people to generate power efficiently through their legs, and especially their hips.
Many people come to us scared of moving fast. They’ve spent their lives in the gym, or at yoga, being taught they should move slow because it’s safe.
