Great story. Thanks Andy. When I’m “old as hell”, I still want to be running like this guy (k… maybe not with that exact form or for that kind of distance but still running…).

busy week and finally made it to homework A tonight (hungover…not a good combo ha) Anyway, it actually felt pretty good. My times were consistent and BURPEES AVOIDED! lol thank goodness cause I’m still working on all those ones from last time!

    200m sets, 1:03, 1:06, 1:04

    400m sets, 2:18, 2:18, 2:15

Awesome article you posted Andy – I love how he just competes for the enjoyment of it. Very inspiring.
I did workout A last Thursday with Sarah along the seawall.
    200s – 0:39, 0:40, 0:40 – consistent, but slower than the 200s I did in week one
400s – 1:32, 1:31, 1:33 – again, consistent, but slower than the 400s I did in week two – I really noticed the short amount of rest.

Workout B was tonight – along the seawall again.
1:25, 1:24, 1:24 – having more rest was definitely allowing me to go a bit faster – these times were the same as my fastest 400 in week two

Oops – I need to read the workouts better…thought it was weird that 400s were listed twice. Messed that one up a bit…4mins, not 400m!

I did the 2 mile run on Thursday and my times have improved slightly. the first mile was 8:13 and the full 2 miles was 17:04. I have not been able to do the homework as I seem to be developing shin splints

As soon as my shins feel better I plan on catching up with this homework!

    Workout A – 200m -43s, 42s, 42s
    400m -1.23, 1.19, 1.18.
Should my 200′s not be marginally quicker ( relative) to my 400′s? Must admit I didn’t have too much of a warm up

Finished workout B tonight – I’ve been going to a school track near my house. Even after a warmup the first 4 minutes felt laboured but I’m assuming cause it’s after work and my job sucks and I usually feel like I’m in a coma lol also cause it’s dark and blah outside. Anyway, second and third sets felt good and I feel like I’m in a better rhythm by then. Tried to focus on a quicker “pull” and keeping my arms down!!
