The 12 Day of Christmas
A very special thank you to all of you who came out to practice your double unders on Wednesday. I saw a lot of effort and improvement. Warms my Scrooge heart.
I’ve had many request for this workout. Originally there was a different workout planned (Navy Seal) but I’m feeling festive as I finished my Christmas shopping today.
So without further delay… Here is Kermit’s creation…
Thursday’s Workout:
“The 12 Days of Christmas”
For Time:
1 Burpee
2 Turkish getups (20lbs/35lbs)
3 Cleans (85 lbs/135 lbs)
4 Box Jumps (20”)
5 Push-ups
6 Air squats
7 Sit-ups
8 Wallballs (12lbs/20lbs)
9 Double unders
10 KB swings (red/black)
11 Pull-ups
12 Mountain climbers
It goes like so…
First Round – 1 Burpee (Yeah!)
Second Round – 1 Burpee, 2 Turkish Get Ups
Third Round – 1 Burpee, 2 Turkish Get Ups, 3 Clean (135/85 lbs)
And so on and so on… Just like the song.
This was originally a a Kermit workout and she posted this video with it:

Recently, I saw Sheperd in the gym with some prepared meat for Andy to help in his injury. When we had the new baby, Sheppy made us a yummy stew. Sheperd is many things (misogynist, chauvinist, poor humor, average crossfitter, often grumpy, terrible multitasker) but how many people would take the time out of a busy schedule to make someones life a little easier? Not me. And he didn’t go out and buy the food, he fucking cooked it. He’s a good person, I think he’d give you the shirt off his back if you needed it (he’d probably take your wifes shirt off as well if he could).
Merry Christmas Sheppy. You deserve good things.

Thank you Sheppy for keeping the Christmas tradition alive. I love the Muppets too (obviously)!

Thanks Larsy.
Very kind. I may be a lot of things but a bad multitasker is not one of them.
Looking forward to tilting a few pops with you over the holidays.
Cheers Bro!
Kermit,
I think you should learn the Rainbow song from the beginning of the first Muppet movie. You could strum along with the guitar. We could make a video!
Let’s do it!!!

I already know it. It’s called “The Rainbow Connection” but it is accompanied with a banjo…hmmm perhaps a project for the New Year!

Oh man I love the 12 days of xmas… sad I’ll miss it this year.
Sheppy is definitely on my top ten… poor taste in hockey teams though.

That hurts Donkey.
I can’t help it if I grew up outside Toronto and went to a bunch of games growing up. It’s in my blood.
You think I want to be a Leaf’s fan? Do you know the burden we have to carry?
At least they are doing ok this year. Seems Kessel is out to prove something after being picked last at the 2010 All Star game.
Enjoy California buddy. We’ll miss you around the gym. Love ya.
