Ever wonder what's in Andy's infamous morning smoothie?

Breakfast with the Monk

The difficulties of eating Paleo has always been what to eat for breakfast besides eggs. Some have just been taking on breakfast as any other meal eating fish chicken and steak. it’s completely normal to grab a 5 ounce cut of roast and a bundle of asparagus heat it up for breakfast and get on with the day.

What are your breakfast preferences? Is this a difficult meal to sort out as we become more conscious of what we put into our bodies? Obviously, some of us are done with the bacon & egg consumption every morning, what do we do? What do you suggest on the morning menu?

Warm up: 75 good mornings (45/35lbs)

Tech:Bulgarian Split Squat
5,5,5,each side
use a kettle bell (black/red)

Work out: complete the following for time,
Run 800m
21 K-B-S & 12 Burpees
Run 400m
21 K-B-S & 12 Burpees
Run 200m
21 K-B-S & 12 Burpees
(Black/red)

Charlbird ;-)

great workout today! couldn’t make it in so did everything at the gym. it was awesome.

    see you kids soon.

PS. did i mention that treadmills (and most of the other available equipment at the gym) are awful for these kick a$$ workouts?!

I’m sure there’s a happy medium there somewhere… If you could create a man with Andy’s physique and Patty’s bacon and scotch habits, he would be a reputable juggernaut!

I occasionally consume the whoops-I-slept-in-and-don’t-have-time-to-cook drive through breakfast

Egg Mcmuffin with ham, dry bun, no cheese, add extra egg.
Throw out the bun once you get to work and you have 2 eggs and ham for $3.01.

Kyle won’t let me call this paleo. He insists that it is “paleo”.
It could be worse. It could be a scone.

spinach and passive aggression don’t win many cage fights

  • By Lars 27 Sep 2011

Clearly Patty isn’t REALLY married, if he was he’d have a mother in law and he’d REALLY know what passive aggressive is.

I’d like to thank everyone in the gym for the many kind words I’ve received over the last few days. In truth I don’t deserve any credit whatsoever. Apart from performing quite well in Whistler about 9 months ago, I didn’t carry the baby, I’ll never nurse it, and when it’s loud at night I either elbow my wife to get back on duty or I slink to the couch. Please don’t use up all your salutations on me. Anna is (as all women) a birthing hero and give her a pat on the back (except Shep, stay the fuck away from her) when you see her.

That was EPIC , EPIC, EPIC!!! Sorry about the stutter, I am still convulsing …:)

    No tone..

Don’t worry, Patty. I’d pick you over Andy in a fight (cage or not) any day.

Kate – I think that’s paleo. I think (I hope) McDonalds uses real eggs. If not, I’m fearful.

Oh my god-I’m craving a sausage egg mcmuffin meal right now!!!! (only this girl likes the fake cheese and muffin…I should technically weigh like 300 lbs…)
Anna, I know you’re at home with lil sequin, hopefully you have a minute to read this: sequin is so beautiful! You guys make cute babies, congrats!!!! Can’t wait to meet her!!!

Pinky… don’t worry you’re not the only one that loves the fake cheese..lol..

Eunice, it was great to have you as a coach yesterday, you made sure I finished my wod and I am proud I did, even if today I can barely walk… it was all worth it!!

I like that at McDonalds you can order your eggs “Round” or “Flat”. I prefer round, they look more real with the yolk in the middle of the white.

I’ve found the prices vary but I have been able to order just the eggs for as low as $0.69 each.

Don’t worry, they are, in fact, real eggs or the Lucerne egg whites at McDicks
