Do your buds/co-workers know about CrossFit Bridgeport?
Back in November 2011 we saw Pinky, Lumber and Eagle take on a new challenge in Richmond and develop a small box known as Crossfit Bridgeport.
Lumber was introduced to Crossfit in 2007 by a close friend from University and almost instantly was hooked!!!
By September of 2008 he was undoubtedly in the best shape of his life and there was no signs of a plateau. Since then he has become a magnificent coach and an outstanding athlete, competing for CFV in the past 3 Crossfit Games and an integral part of our community. He brought in both Pinky (the current DUDE) and Eagle. They are two amazing athletes, coaches and a huge part of our community, even if Eagle is the most hated man in Crossfit EastVan!
For the past 8 months, these three have been working hard to develop a steady community out there. They have done so well and we are stoked for them!
So……do you know someone that lives in Richmond or commutes there for work?? Start talking to them about Crossfit and send them Lumbers way!
For more info check out crossfitbridgeport.com or send the crew an email lumber@crossfit.ca

Love Murph. As I currently have no facilities, I did it yesterday outside of my cabin in the Maritimes. It’s important to remember where these workouts come from in our community:
“Murph is one of the first three original hero WODs (along with JT and Michael) named after Navy SEALs killed in action in Afghanistan in June 2005. LT Michael Murphy was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor and the Murph hero WOD has taken on special significance in the Corssfit community and is usually done on Memorial Day. The workout was one that Mike did often wearing body armor and was originally named “body armor.”
Anyone wearing a vest?

All the guys at CF whistler vest up and heckel the underlings that don’t, its cute to watch. Big tits to deck =chest to deck, right? Feels like the one get out of jail free card with this one.
Also, what is a ladderboard challange? Blonde “durrrr” moment coming up soon.

Good question re: ladder board. Rob Orford (Lemonade) challenged eachother last week and Dave Mter did the same with Pup to inaugurate it but it truly deserves a solid write-up on the community page ‘cuz it’s very fun and nicely put together.

Andy and I discussed the vest this morning… it just gives you a license to go slow. Sack up and set a new PB I say!

I like to wear a vest sometimes because it takes me back to my pre-crossfit weight, and reminds me how damn hard it actually is to move efficiently at a weight that I used to consider “normal.”
It’s tough moving with those extra pounds!
